About the Journal

The Journal of Advances in Optimization Theory is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes cutting-edge research in the field of optimization theory. Our aim is to provide a platform for high-quality contributions that advance the theoretical foundations of optimization and their practical applications across various disciplines. The journal is a hybrid publication, offering authors the flexibility to choose between open-access and subscription-based publication options.

Focus and Scope

The journal invites original research articles, reviews, and short communications in all areas of optimization theory, including:

  • Mathematical optimization and variational analysis;

  • Convex and non-convex optimization;

  • Integer and combinatorial optimization;

  • Stochastic and robust optimization;

  • Multi-objective and global optimization;

  • Optimization algorithms and computational methods;

  • Applications in engineering, economics, data science, operations research, machine learning, and other scientific domains.

We welcome submissions that provide new theoretical insights, as well as those addressing real-world optimization challenges in various scientific and industrial sectors.

Hybrid Open Access Model

The Journal of Advances in Optimization Theory follows a hybrid open access model, meaning that authors have the option to publish their work either through:

  1. Subscription-Based Access: Articles will be available only to subscribers and institutional members.

  2. Open-Access (Gold): Authors can choose to make their article freely available to everyone, with a one-time open-access fee of 200 USD. This allows the research to be widely disseminated and accessible to a global audience without any subscription barriers.

Authors who opt for open access must pay the required fee after their article has been accepted for publication. This fee helps cover the costs associated with open-access publication, ensuring that all published work remains freely accessible to readers worldwide.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright to their work, but by submitting a manuscript, they grant Bukhtishu Publishing Group a license to publish their article. Open-access articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing others to share, remix, and adapt the work with appropriate credit.

Sponsorship and Funding Disclosure

The Journal of Advances in Optimization Theory is an independent publication with no external sponsorship. Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest during the submission process.

Archival System

We ensure the long-term preservation of published content through inclusion in LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) archival systems. This guarantees that all published research will remain accessible, even in the unlikely event of changes to the journal’s publishing platform.

History of the Journal

Launched in 2025, the Journal of Advances in Optimization Theory was created to fill a gap in high-quality academic publishing dedicated to optimization theory. With its hybrid model, the journal strives to balance broad accessibility with the rigorous standards of academic publishing, ensuring that cutting-edge research is available to scholars worldwide.
